JOB Eligibility and criteria
General mission
The Physiotherapist having DPT degree and at least three years’ experience of working with people with disabilities preferably in emergency response settings, will support HI’s Rehabilitation program in the field. The Physiotherapist will report to the Project Manage.
Missions / responsibilities
Mission 1 : Functional Rehabilitation
The Physiotherapist will :
Work on identification and assessment of persons with disabilities in targeted areas of intervention;
Provision of physiotherapy services to those who are in need of assistive devices and otherwise;
Participate in the selection and procurement of need based assistive devices for quality and quantity assurance;
Ensure proper delivery of assistive devices to persons with disabilities and customize the devices as required;
Train persons with disabilities and work with families on the use of assistive devices;
Map service providers for referral mechanism and make referrals to available services including cross-sectoral referral;
Follow up of all of the above mentioned tasks.
Mission 2 : Reporting
Identify and coordinate with external stakeholders for identification, establishment, and strengthening of the referral mechanism for rehabilitation services.
Compile data at the end of every month for Rehabilitation related activities as specified by the Project Manager and share with Line Manager and M&E unit.
Update the client database regularly in both digital and hard copy forms.
Share lessons learnt in the field, prepare case studies and success stories pertaining to rehabilitation for every quarter and/or as required.
Mission 3 : Trainings
Train the teams on various topics related to rehabilitation as required.
Collaborate with other components within the project cross-sectoral referrals.
Maintain follow-up of learning, feedback, and new areas identified
Mission 4 : Field Management
Is responsible for liaising with other implementing partners in the field
Has knowledge of community social mobilization through participatory approach to guide and monitor the activities of the social mobilizers/ volunteers in field.
