Miracle! Now paralyzed patient can speak properly.

Scientists have developed a new device that will analyze the paralyzed patient's brain waves and translate them into sentences instantly on a computer screen so that paralyzed person can talk.

Edward Cheng of the faculty of the University of California and his colleagues designed a machine capable of converting the brain's activity into letters that form a complete sentence.

This mind reading machine is able to track the brain activity. Experts say that the device will restore the ability to communicate to people who cannot speak or write due to paralysis. 

In the research tests, volunteers silently made sentences from a vocabulary of 1,152 words by sounding out letters, with an average error rate of 6.13 %.  

After building the machine, the researchers used it to facilitate the paraplegics who had difficulty speaking because of paralysis.

The authors applied the design of this system to decode the sounds of mental advice letters to think in previous research on more vocabularies

In past a system was designed as a result of research which was capable of decoding up to 50 words. The machine had a limited vocabulary and the user, a paraplegic patient, have to speak words out loud which required much effort.
