Federal government increase the 25% adhoc relief allowance on running basic Pay. According to the notification.

 Finance Department Govt of Pakistan issues a notification number F.No 1 (1) /imp/2024-254 dated July 10, 2024 .

In the budget speech by finance minister Aurangzeb announced the increase of salary of government employees upto 25%.

Federal Budget speech will be delivered by Finance Minister Mr. Muhammad in the first week of June 2024. The annual meeting of APCC will be held on May 28-29 in which funds will be approved for various ministries and divisions. The budget for the new financial year is proposed to be presented in the first week of June. 

IMF has stressed to decrease the Tax slabs from five to four. at present the Tax rates are upto 35%, 27.5%, 22.5%, 12.5% , 2.5% . by Decreasing one slab will affect the middle income salaried individuals. IMF also wants to eliminate the Tax reductions especially 25% tax reduction to the researchers and Teachers for a plan to create 670 Billion Rupees per annum for this budget 2024-2025.

Increase in Salary and Pension:

An increase of 15% increase is expected in Basic Salary of Government Employees and Pensioners, however news of upto 25% increase is also circulating in the people as per sources claimed.

وفاقی بجٹ میں توانائی شعبے کے لیے 800 ارب سبسڈی کے لیے مختص ہیں۔ واٹر ریسورسز کے لیے 206 ارب، ٹرانسپورٹ اور مواصلات کے لیے 279 ارب روپے مختص کیے گئے ہیں۔ اسی طرح 2024-25ء میں جی ڈی پی گروتھ کا ہدف 3.6 فیصد مقرر کیا گیا ہے اور اایف بی آر کے لیے 12 ہزار 970 ارب روپے ٹیکس اکٹھا کرنے کا ہدف مقرر کیا گیا ہے۔ آئندہ بجٹ میں ایف بی آر 3720 ارب روپے کا اضافی ریونیو جمع کرے گا۔ رواں مالی سال کی نسبت آئندہ سال ڈائریکٹ ٹیکس 3452 ارب زائد ہوں گے۔ رواں مالی سال کی نسبت آئندہ سال کے لیے کسٹمز ڈیوٹی 267 ارب روپے زائد ہوگی۔

ان لینڈ ریونیو کے ٹیکسز کا حجم 11 ہزار 379 ارب روپے مقرر کیا گیا ہے جب کہ ڈائریکٹ ٹیکسز کا حجم 5 ہزار 512 ارب روپے ہو گا۔ وفاقی بجٹ 2024,25 میں اضافی ٹیکسز کی مد نئے اقدامات متوقع ہیں۔ اسی طرح پیٹرولیم مصنوعات پر سیلز ٹیکس استثنا مرحلہ وار ختم کیے جانے کا امکان ہے۔

گریڈ ایک تا 16 کے ملازمین کی تنخواہوں میں 25 فیصد اور گریڈ 17 تا 22 کی تنخواہوں میں 22 فیصد تک اضافے کی منظوری دے دی 

پیٹرولیم مصنوعات پر 5فیصد سیلز ٹیکس اور سگریٹ و نکوٹین پاوئچ پر ٹیکس بڑھائے جانے کا امکان ہے۔ اسی طرح کتابوں، مارکر سمیت اسٹیشنری پر ٹیکس استثنا بھی ختم کیے جانے کی تجویز شامل ہے۔ برانڈڈ دودھ پر بھی ٹیکس استثنا ختم کرنے کی تجویز دی گئی ہے۔ بجٹ میں مقامی و درآمدی گاڑیاں بھی مزید مہنگی ہونے کا امکان ہے

 According to the notification issued by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), this increase in electricity prices has been done in the context of monthly fuel adjustment, which will be applied in the month of March.

According to the notification, the increase in electricity prices will be applied to the electricity bills of the current month, this increase will not be applicable to Lifeline customers, K-electric customers and electric vehicle charging stations.

 The University of Health Sciences (UHS), Lahore, invites online applications from eligible candidates for admission to the following undergraduate programs, Session 2023-24, to be offered at the UHS Jinnah Campus, Kala Shah Kaku

Eligibility criteria for the undergraduate program:

HOW TO APPLY FOR BS MLT, BS SLP, BS OT at UHS: 

Step 1: Go to the online application portal: http://forms.uhs.edu.pk/ugpadd 

Step 2: Check your eligibility (If you have 60% or above marks in HSSC/equivalent exam, you can proceed with your application otherwise not). 

Step 3: Fill in the application form with required information (personal details, qualifications, etc.). 

Step 4: On initial submission, a password will be generated and it will sent to your e-mail address. You can now Log-in with the help of this password. 

Step 5: Determine the Order of Preference for the programs as per your choice.

Step 6: Before final submission of your application, create a challan of an application processing fee of Rs.3500/ (Non-refundable) per program. You can submit the fee through this challan at the nearest branch of the Bank of Punjab (BOP) before the deadline of application submission. Paid challan slip must be uploaded on the online application portal.

Step 7: Upload the required document (Max.Size: 1 Mb/each document) as mentioned on the application portal. 

Step 8: Verify the filled information and attachments. 

Step 9: Make the final submission of your application form. After final submission, a confirmation notification will be shown on your screen.

FORMAT OF UHS-UGAT-2023: 

UHS Undergraduate Admission Test (UGAT)-2023 shall consist of a single paper consisting of 100 MCQs, divided into the following four sections: English-25 MCQs, Biology-25 MCQs, Chemistry- 25 MCQs, and Physics- 25 MCQs Time allowed for the test is two hours. The test shall start at 10:00 AM and conclude at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, 15th February, 2024.
