Finance Department Government of Punjab issued a notification in March 2022 as an austerity measures to control the budget and following restrictions has been imposed in the province;
Ban on purchase of Air conditioner
Ban on air travel
Ban on treatment abroad
Ban on Upgradation of posts.
Ban on purchase of new vehicles
Ban on contingent paid staff (daily)
The notification alos read that no supplementary Grant will be issued for any purpose mentioned above as proposed by the austerity committee.
